Meghan Morrissey

Biography

Meghan is fascinated by how cells interpret their environment. Macrophages are incredible examples of this because they constantly survey their environment, integrate all the information they find, and relay signals to the rest of the immune system. 

Outside of work, Meghan enjoys cooking, backpacking, and hiking with her toddler. She is active in science outreach, most recently as a career mentor for Students Rising Above - a San Francisco program that supports first-gen students through high school, college and into the workforce. She views mentorship as the most fun and important part of her job.
